Ysleta ISD is excited to share that we have launched a new program districtwide that makes it easier for parents to report school absences and receive notifications about attendance. This program is called Ysleta Connects.
Ysleta Connects has been extended to every campus to strengthen how we connect with families when a student is absent, and explore new ways for technology to support faithful attendance. You will be able to conveniently send and receive confidential text messages from your child’s school about their absences/attendance.
How Ysleta Connects works:
If your child is marked absent, you will receive a text message.
The text will offer you the option to RESPOND or CONFIRM the absence, and you may also choose to engage in communication about your child’s absence.
And that’s it!
Parents will also be able to use Ysleta Connects to access critical attendance data for their child or notify the school in advance of their child’s absence(s). It’s important to know that Ysleta Connects text messages are strictly for absences/attendance – as a parent, you will continue to receive regular emergency notifications from the district via text, email, and automated phone calls as those situations arise.
